Frequently Asked Questions …  For Realtors click here

What is staging?

Staging is the art and science of preparing a property for sale. At its simplest, staging means rearranging existing furniture and accessories to best flatter the property. At its most complex, staging can involve major renovations, such as updating kitchens and bathrooms. The end result is always to present your property as a “showhome” that offers all the features that buyers respond to and pay a premium for.

It is worth it?

Research proves a staged property generally sells for at a 5% and 10% better price, and it does so in half the usual time on market.

How does your guarantee work?

In general terms, we guarantee that the cost of staging will be less than the difference between your realtor’s asking price before staging and your realtor’s asking price after staging. And we guarantee that you will have a comparable offer within 30 days of the first showing. (Certain conditions apply.)

How much of the staging can I do myself?

You can do as little or as much of the staging as you have the time, energy and design expertise for. You can follow our recommendations, or you can have us do it all for you. Whatever is required to prepare your home for market, we can take of for you.

How do you work with my realtor?

By employing us as your stagers, you allow your realtor to focus on their ‘core competencies’, namely setting the price, advertising the property, interviewing prospective buyers, and negotiating the sale.

What about renovations?

Updates and upgrades in the kitchen and bathrooms are often key to a successful sale. As your General Contractor, we can select, schedule and supervise all the subtrades to perform the necessary work, and make sure your renovations complete on time and on budget.

What about repairs?

It is important that your property is in good repair. Most offers to purchase a property are made subject to a satisfactory building inspection. We can inspect your house before you list it for sale, and make all the repairs needed so you don’t have to worry about losing an offer due to an unsatisfactory building inspection.

How long does staging take?

Generally, a 2-bedroom apartment can be staged in 1 day, while a large family home may take up to 3 days to stage. Staging involving substantial renovations generally take 1 to 2 weeks.
